5. Stewie Beating Up Brian
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzKAut3sVrw In series 4 of Family Guy, the gratuitous violence that I eluded too in my introduction comes to the fore in "Patriot Games", as Stewie beats the tar out of Brian and unleashes a violent, over-the-top assault on his one-time friend when he fails to repay a debt. After a savage beat down involving broken glass, a golf club, a pistol shot to both knees and eventually the coup-de-grace of a flamethrower, of all things, Brian finally agrees to repay the owed money when he can no longer take any further punishment from the sadistic Stewie. Realising that he *may* have over-reacted a tad, (just a tad), Stewie offers Brian "one free revenge shot" and Brian takes great delight in biding his time over when to take his revenge, pushing Stewie to the brink of insanity, until he at last pushes the toddler under an oncoming bus. Nice.
