Family Guy: 10 Most Controversial Moments
3. Quagmire's Run In With The Simpsons
Well, you've already seen Quagmire rape someone through implication, so why not see it play out? And hey, let's chuck some murder into the mix to spice it up a little.
As stated earlier, Glenn Quagmire is one of the most controversial characters in cartoon history, and that's going up against names like Eric Cartman (South Park) and Apu (The Simpsons). Speaking of The Simpsons, they're the unlucky family who fall victim to him in this one.
During the episode "Movin' Out (Brian's Song)" the Griffins discuss Brian's romantic troubles when an ad banner featuring Marge Simpson comes across the screen. Soon, Glenn sprints onto the scene, throwing himself onto Marge as she fights back.
They fall off-screen and Quagmire has his way with her, before heading to hers for "round two". There, upon being discovered, Quagmire takes out a gun and kills the entire Simpson family, including little Maggie.
It was widely speculated that this horrifying joke was an act of petty revenge from MacFarlane after The Simpsons poked fun at Family Guy themselves. But, a little tongue-in-cheek jab and rape/murder are pretty far removed.
