Family Guy: Each Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

Brian Griffin is Seth MacFarlane's favourite character and it is easy to see why. The talking dog is unique and very cultured, often being portrayed as the voice of reason throughout most of the series. While beginning as a best friend to Peter, it is his adventures with the infant Stewie that have showcased the character's best moments.

From womanizing, time travelling and constantly writing, Brian has lived nothing short of an interesting life. Family Guy has given fans a glimpse into Brian's life multiple times with many episodes focusing on the canine member of the family.

While Brian is certainly not a good person, committing numerous crimes and questionable actions such as giving Stewie herpes, committing adultery and trying to have sex with Lois (multiple times), the character is seen as one of the fan favourite characters.

His friendship with Stewie is a highlight of the series, with their time travelling episodes being the best episodes of the series. Their bond is strong and the series made the best move for the character by having him shift from being Peter's best friend to Stewie's, as it has allowed more story opportunities for him and the two play brilliantly off each other.
