5. Rachel Finding A New Job
In the chronology of the show, Rachel has just turned down a job in Paris to pursue her relationship with Ross. While that is a perfect ending for her romantic angle, it doesn't leave her in the best position when it comes to finding employment. But, if there's anything we've learned from this former spoilt-rich girl, it's that she's resilient.
Seeing Rachel try to find a new job while juggling her newfound companionship with Ross would have been writhing with great comedy set-ups. She could have ended up working something she felt overqualified for and growing frustrated or even being brought into a position she knew very little about.
Either way, the struggles of job-hunting is a narrative the writers have used for Rachel before countless times, and to great effect. Finally seeing her discover her dream job and sticking to it would have been a great way to close out the saga of her time in the fashion industry.
Also, seeing Ross support her through it would have been evidence that this time between them was different, which we all would have liked to see.
