Friends Cast: Where Are They Now?
1. Jennifer Aniston (Rachel)
Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel gradually moved to become Friends’ central character, through her relationship with Joey and long running ‘will they won’t they’ with Ross. So famous was this back and forth with David Schwimmer’s palaeontologist that most modern versions of the trope are known as the Ross and Rachel.
Her real life relationship with Brad Pitt no doubt increased her star power too.
She had by far the biggest boom post Friends, becoming a star in several major romcoms and chick flicks like Marley & Me, He’s Just Not That Into You, The Break Up and Along Came Polly. Successful performances in the likes of Office Space and Bruce Almighty while still on Friends no doubt helped her secure these parts too.
The paparazzi though seemed to take a bit of a toll as her split from Brad Pitt dominated the headlines, and she stepped away from the spotlight briefly, with less leading roles and more supporting spots in TV or smaller movies.
Recently she’s taken more challenging roles like Cake & Dumplin’, as well as a more typical role in Adam Sandler flick Murder Mystery, which scored a record breaking 31 million views in its first three days of streaming.
