Futurama: 10 Worst Things Fry Ever Did
3. He Was Happy To Let Three Monks Die
There are times in life when certain situations or circumstances can force people into desperation. To go to lengths they normally wouldn’t even dream of to change what has happened, and in Fry’s life, this was when he lost Bender.
He adapted when he found himself in the year 3000, and he dealt with his constant rejection from Leela, but when Bender was lost to the stars he hit rock bottom. He never gave up hope that his robotic best friend would return though, a belief that took him to a monastery. Within this monastery, passive monks used a gigantic, infinitely powerful telescope to search the sky for God.
He and Leela however overpowered them, locked them in a cupboard, and used it to search for Bender. After three days, and after Fry and Leela gave up, Bender was hurled back to Earth by God. It was then that Leela realised, once they were some way away from the monks, they had left them locked in the closet.
Even before they left the monks had resorted to eating their own shoes, but Fry was happy to leave them as they were on some flimsy pretext that their God would save them. If it wasn’t for Bender, Fry would have happily let these four men starve to death.
