Game Of Thrones: 10 Characters We Desperately Want To Survive Season Five
4. Daenerys Targaryen
In the early episodes of Game of Thrones, Daenerys and the evolution of her relationship with Khal Drogo, leading to her becoming the Dothraki Khaleesi was one of the most compelling storylines the show offered. Weve seen her grow from a naïve pawn in her brothers scheme to gain the crown, used as nothing more than a piece of meat in a literal horse trade, to the strong, yet often-flawed ruler she is now. Unfortunately the path we took to get there was often slow and boring. Daenerys spent practically an entire season spinning her wheels in Qarth while fans were desperate for her to move forward in her quest. She had quickly become an easy to root for character, and then she was essentially taken off the board for a while. While her story is still playing out across the Narrow Sea away from most of the other events that the show revolves around, her actions are starting to have more of an impact on the world as a whole. Now shes desperately trying to show strength and regain her foothold in Meereen, and if the revelation at the end of the last episode is any indication, she plans to do so by marrying into one of the citys prominent families. Itll be intriguing to see how that affects her relationship with her most trusted soldier and bodyguard-with-benefits sidepiece, Daario Naharis.
