Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We're Asking After 'High Sparrow'
4. Will Jon Command Total Respect On The Wall?
It's official. Jon Snow is the greatest character in the Seven Kingdoms and beyond. His journey from 'the bastard of Winterfell' to Lord Commander Of The Night's Watch has been stirring to watch, and now he looks the part dining at the head of the room. The scene in the dining hall was carried off extremely well, with an unexpected move to promote Alliser Thorne demonstrating his merciful, and respectful nature. Winning over Thorne is crucial to Jon's efforts in commanding total respect, and he's going about it the right way. However, things didn't end well for the cowardly, disobedient Janos Slynt. The man - who once catastrophically betrayed Ned Stark - was banished to the Wall by then-Hand of the King Tyrion Lannister who aptly said: "I'm not questioning your honour, Lord Janos... I'm denying its existence." Slynt was roundly mocked for cowering in the pantry with Gilly and her baby during the wildling invasion, and his head left his shoulders after foolishly insulting Jon's leadership. Lord Commander Snow is pulling the strings, and making all of the right noises. Big things are expected from his this during this season.
