Jon Snow's death was heart-breaking, quite literally. The Men of the Night's Watch were utterly shamed as they plunged daggers into Jon, with the little brat Olly delivering the final blow. It's a devastating turn of events, and saw the death of a genuine fan favourite, but as you've probably read, do not despair. Jon Snow could be about to rise again. The speculation surrounding Jon's parents has rumbled on for too long just to see his storyline end so bluntly. The R + L = J theory is the most famous Thrones theory to circulate, and you've more than likely heard whisperings about its content. If it is true, then Jon has royal blood in his veins, and could change the way everybody looks at Ned Stark's 'bastard son'. His death is essentially a signal that 'his watch has ended' and that he must no longer adhere to the laws set by the order. Melisandre is now at Castle Black, and if anybody is going to realistically resurrect Jon, she's the one to do it. There's a minor part of me that thinks the only true shock surrounding Jon Snow would be that his death is permanent. It would be horrifying to receive 100% confirmation of his death, but that's the sort of moment Thrones thrives on. That being said, it would also be brilliant to see Jon return and wreak havoc - a total, world-flipping, mind-bending game-changer.
