Game Of Thrones: 9 Early Predictions For Season 7

4. Arya Will Reunited With The Hound...And Melisandre...And Pretty Much Everyone In The Riverlands

Hound Arya Game of Thrones
HBO

Arya is back in Westeros, and with one of the big names crossed off her list. Now she has a couple of choices: start heading home to Winterfell, or make for King's Landing and Cersei.

While it's tempting to imagine Arya going on a revenge tour and finishing off her list, there are likely different plans for Cersei, and it'd be good to see Arya back in Winterfell and reunited with Jon and Sansa.

Before she gets there, though, she's almost certain to run into a few familiar faces. She's currently in the Riverlands, and so too are the Hound and the Brotherhood Without Banners. Arya and Sandor Clegane are one of the best double-acts the show has produced, and the amount of mentions Sandor received during her arc in Season 6 suggests the two are still strongly linked, so a reunion seems like a must. It doesn't hurt that Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr, both names that were once on her list, are with him.

Adding further intrigue is that Melisandre is heading south, and thus there's a good chance she too will be thrown into the mix (and she's another name formerly on Arya's list), since she needs some purpose to serve, and some other familiar characters to be with.

Then there's Brienne and Pod, last seen sailing away from RIverrun, but another pair of characters who could conceivably meet this ever-growing bad of characters, and similarly with strong ties to Arya and the Hound. And speaking of people in boats, could Season 7 FINALLY be the year Gendry returns? Surely they can't leave it hanging any longer, and with Arya back in Westeros, now is the best chance they have of reintroducing him.

Finally, although it may depend on how much is in the CGI budget, there's a chance Arya will also be reunited with Nymeria. She's one of only two direwolves left, and has to appear again before the series ends.

It's a lot of characters for sure, but convergence is necessary as the series moves towards the end, and with most of them in similar locations and having ties to one another, it'd be a good way of bringing various characters together.
