Game Of Thrones: 9 Early Predictions For Season 7
3. Jon Will Learn The Truth
At the end of Season 6, audiences finally learnt the truth. Or not so much learn it, but had the long-held, widely-believed fan theory confirmed: Rhaegar Targaryen + Lyanna Stark = Jon Snow.
While viewers and Bran Stark are both in the know, however, Jon is not. And since he's just been crowned King in the North, such a reveal would rather jeopardise his new position. Which means he's probably going to learn the truth in Season 7.
The likeliest scenario at the moment is Bran making his way back through the Wall and to Winterfell, where he'll somehow broach the sensitive subject of Jon not actually being his brother, but his cousin. Another possibility is Littlefinger starts spreading the rumour, as he appears to know at least something about it (if not the entire truth), as a way of undermining Jon's position. Or perhaps Howland Reed will finally turn up! (Lol.)
However it goes down, it seems likely that he'll discover the truth towards the end of Season 7, and that'll help drive the eventual meeting between him and Daenerys. I'm not sure that will actually happen next year, but rather the start of Season 8, but there's a good chance the two will begin to know more about each other - her the Dragon Queen sailing to conquer Westeros (and someone who may be looking for a husband), he the new King in the North.
Even without the fact that they're aunt and nephew they'd still be likely to come together, and that relationship might not even change a potential romantic coupling between the pair (though saving Westeros is probably a little more important).
