14. Theon Greyjoy

There was always something a little bit off about Theon in the first season - which is remarkably easy to say now, considering it was his betrayal of the Starks that led to at least Rickon being killed and also countless other crimes by Ramsay Bolton.

Though his story became an awful lot more interesting when he fell into Ramsay's hands, as a character, he became inversely less interesting. That was, of course, sort of the point, as he was slowly stripped of everything that defined him previously.

Since then, he's clawed something of his integrity back, thanks to his redemptive rescue of Sansa, but there's no washing away the red in his ledger. And unfortunately for him, Westeros never forgets.
