Game Of Thrones: Power Ranking Every Major House
4. House Greyjoy
Status: Active
Remaining Family Members: Euron, Theon, Yara
Family Members Lost: Balon
While they have been minor players in the Game of Thrones for 6 seasons, House Greyjoy may prove to be a powerful ally while simultaneously being a formidable villain.
Following King Balon’s overdue murder at the hands of his more evil brother, the family is split when the question of succession is raised. With Euron convincing the Iron Islanders that he can team up with Daenerys and conquer the Seven Kingdoms, he is able to take the Salt Throne while also ordering his new subjects to kill Theon and Yara.
Not one to sit idly by, Yara takes her loyal troops and all of their ships and heads to Essos to convince the Dragon Queen that she needs to team up with them instead of their uncle. With the two Greyjoys by her side, Daenerys is last seen sailing towards King’s Landing and long-awaited redemption.
Prospects For The Future:
House Greyjoy is currently split. Yara and Theon are last seen sailing towards King’s Landing with Daenerys to help her take the Iron Throne. Their Uncle Euron will likely take offense to their stealing his idea and preventing him from marrying the Dragon Queen.
With a possible battle for the Salt Throne following Daenerys’ conquest of the Seven Kingdoms, one of the remaining three Greyjoys will rule an independent Iron Islands, but there is currently no telling who that will be.
