Game Of Thrones: Ranking Every Major Battle From Worst To Best
15. Raid On Craster's Keep
Jon Snow realises something needs to be done about the mutineers at Craster's Keep, and leads a small band of brothers to either take them prisoner or kill them.
The raid on the keep isn't massive, but it does offer up some exciting, frenzied action, which is given extra meaning by the fact that - unbeknownst to Jon - Bran Stark is being held there.
While Locke attempts to take hold of the Stark boy, and we get to see him warg into Hodor, Jon clashes with Karl Tanner in a superb swordfight (or sword vs daggers fight) that culminates in one of Thrones' most detestable characters getting stabbed through the head, and the whole sequence proves that it doesn't need to go all-out to deliver a satisfying action scene.
