3. Sansa And Theon's Escape

If you hadn't followed any of the marketing for Season 6, then the question of whether Theon and Sansa survived was still an extremely pertinent one, even if the answer was as obvious as the one to 'did Stannis really die?'

Of course, to both it's a resounding yes, and we get a thrilling follow-up from the pair's escape over the wall of Winterfell in this episode. It's a really well-crafted chase scene through the woods, first with the pair running, and then having to cross a river. Just when you think they're safe you hear the dogs barking, and you know the hunt is still on.

It then ramps up the tension expertly, with Sansa hiding in the tree as Theon makes a rather poor effort of convincing the Bolton men that she died, before Brienne's well-timed entrance saves the day.
