Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 5 Episode Name Revealed: "Eastwatch"
2. Jon Makes Dany See Again
Already, Jon Snow has managed to convince Dany that flying to King's Landing and barbecuing everyone in the Red Keep would be terrible for her publicity effort, and he's got another big argument to make to her. He needs to convince her to let him leave to go North, with Eastwatch's impending fall now out in the open.
He could do it a couple of ways: first, he could bend the knee, swear his allegiance and go with her blessing. This makes the most sense. Or he could escape (which might explain the angry dragon sequence in the trailer). Or he could just reason with her again - though she's already proved she requires fealty on top of all actual evidence, so that might be fruitless.
Whatever the case, Jon has to make her see that she has to let him go, and he needs to do it this episode to make sure the extraction mission of episode 6 is possible. Perhaps he'll just reason that she's basically defeated the Lannisters (since she probably believes Jaime is dead and the key Tyrell foodstocks are destroyed) and doesn't really need him that much any more anyway?
By the end of the episode, Jon will be on the road North once more, and he may even stop off to pick up some recruits (unless that happens in the opening of the sixth episode, of course).
