Game Of Thrones Season 7 Implications: What "The Spoils Of War" Really Means

1. Jaime Is In Peril, Bronn's The Hero

Bronn Game Of Thrones

The end of the stunning episode - which somehow ended without Bronn dying - saw the greatest anti-hero in Game Of Thrones history (or at least one of them), saving Jaime as he rode into certain death. But Bronn and Jaime's issues are not yet up.

Though they weren't cooked by Dany's favourite scaly son, they were plunged into deep water, with Jaime wearing full armour and weighed down by a huge golden hand. If he's going to get out of that secondary mess, he's going to have to rely on Bronn to save him again (unless the Dothraki fish him out and hand him over to Dany).

It could be that Jaime proves to be Dany's most valuable bargaining chip if she wishes to talk to Cersei, or we might instead see a sub-plot involving Jaime and Bronn trying to get back to King's Landing while Dany's forces deal with what remains of their army. Either way, it's very nicely - very tensely - poised, and neither of them are by any means out of the fire.
