Game Of Thrones Season 7 Implications: What "The Spoils Of War" Really Means

11. Meera Is Gone (Might Be Back With Others)

Almost as soon as Bran made her obsolete by upgrading to a wheelchair, Meera told him she's off, as she needs to be with her family at this tumultuous time. She also said what everyone else is thinking by blasting Bran for being an inhuman weirdo and not being sufficiently thankful for the sacrifices of her brother and Hodor (though to be fair, it was her that told him to hold the door).

So that's the end of Meera then.... Or is it?

The mention of her family will have immediately sent fans into raptures, as it finally opens the door for the much-desired reappearance of the legendary warrior Howland Reed. After he witnessed the Tower Of Joy incident, Reed has disappeared entirely, but it's been a pretty big rumour that he would reappear once more when the time was right (perhaps to confirm that Meera and Jon are twins).

The mention of Meera returning to her family certainly makes it feel like we're closer to meeting him than ever before.
