Game Of Thrones Season 7 Reactions: What "Dragonstone" Really Means
2. Arya's Revelation?
As the episode began with Arya single-handedly killing off the Freys, it would have been easy to imagine that we're going to see her assume the mantle of Lady Stoneheart and just kill everyone in her path considered an enemy in any way. After all, the Freys weren't ALL responsible for killing her family, and destroying their entire dynasty was a fairly profound reaction.
But then, she didn't kill off their army - just the ruling family, and she seemed to openly debate the morality of the genocide of one's enemies when she came across the band of Lannister soldiers led by Thomas Turgoose and Ed Sheeran on her way to King's Landing.
After evaluating their threat (by glancing pointedly at their weapons), she seemed to change her mind about killing them when they showed her kindness and suggested their own humanity. They were no more than normal men thrust into battle, and killing them would not have been right, Lannister uniforms or otherwise.
This was a huge moment for Arya, and it should stop her from becoming too much of a monster - which was always quite possible. Still, she might end up having to kill them if they realise she wasn't actually lying about her desire to kill Cersei, but at least she's thought the morality through.
