If that rumour about the ice dragon is correct, it means the White Walkers will suddenly have a means to becoming far more mobile, which might suggest why the season's tag-line is Winter Is Here when it still feels like it hasn't quite arrived yet.

As an interesting - and incredibly ominous - revelation on that front, it seems that the sunny climate of King's Landing will finally be touched by the icy hand of Winter.

In December some set shots caught a snow machine peppering the capital's streets with snow - an unprecedented sight that pretty much guarantees that the end of the season will see the White Walkers at Cersei's door.
