Game Of Thrones Season 8 Ending: 10 Last-Minute Predictions For The Finale

4. Arya Leaves Forever

This might seem strange given the whole imagery of Starks sticking together, but they won't by the end of the season. Just as Jon's true home is not King's Landing (or even Winterfell - he fell in love with the wild North and it's in his blood far more now), Arya's home is not Westeros. She might not even have one at this stage.

Arya has seen too much and done too much for her to settle into a normal life once it's all done. If the idea of her simply being Lady Baratheon "wasn't her" neither is her sitting around Winterfell watching Sansa in power and Bran doing his thing and continuing to oversee Westeros (no matter what shape that takes). We've already seen her story foreshadowed too, because Nymeria's brief appearance not so long ago was designed to offer a parallel with the person Arya has become now.

She's wilder, more of a free spirit and far less suited to captivity than her siblings, like Nymeria, and ultimately, she will turn away to roam, just as her old direwolf companion did.

And when you think about it, this would fit with the idea of the Starks all fulfilling their true destinies in defiance of what everyone has expected of them. Jon isn't going to be king, Sansa isn't going to be the Little Bird she was called, Bran WILL fly (in a way) and Arya won't grow to be someone's lady.
