3. Khal Drogo

HBOThe scenes in which we experienced the slow, painful, heart-wrenching demise of Daenerys' ex-husband were difficult to watch not just because he was so dear to the Mother of Dragons but also because we realised that we would never see Drogo make do on his promise to win his wife back the throne and in so doing wage war against the finest warriors of Westeros. Khal Drogo played by the ripped Jason Momoa who would go on to star as Conan the Barbarian isnt just physically imposing but is also incredibly skilled. Unlike the likes of Gregor Clegane and Brienne of Tarth, Khal Drogo is extremely large but doesnt sacrifice speed or agility. The extremely young ruler of the Khalasar forgoes the heavy armour customarily worn by Westeros soldiers in favour of speed. We see this in his showdown with the insubordinate Mago whom he dodges and slaughters with his bare hands. When Drogo isnt showboating by choosing to fight unarmed, he uses an arakh (a curved Dothraki blade) to hack away at his opponents. We may have never seen the famed Dothraki warlord clash with any of the heavily armoured soldiers of Westeros but we can assume that his incredible speed and talent for blood-letting would enable him to be victorious against all but two opponents. The Khal was an exceptional warrior even by the standards of his war-loving nomadic people. He died undefeated killed not by an earthly opponent but by his own arrogance.
