Game Of Thrones: 10 Spoilers Learnt By The Released Episode Titles
They've announced the first four episode titles, and they give a whole lot away...
Basically, there's SPOILERS from the start here. You've been warned. The brand new season of Game of Thrones is almost upon us, and we've finally been given some episode titles; the first four, to be exact. They are Two Swords; The Lion And The Rose; Breaker Of Chains, and Oathkeeper. Now, for fans of the book series and those brave and impatient souls who voyaged fearlessly into the world of spoilers, those titles are simply full to the brim with possible scenarios for the first half of the season. Last season ended with a slower paced episode rounding up the main character arcs and allowing viewers to breathe a bit after the shocking penultimate episode, the infamous Red Wedding where several main characters such as Catelyn and Robb Stark, and Robb's wife Talisa and their unborn baby, were horrifically killed off by their supposed allies, the Freys and the Boltons. In Yunkai, Daenerys is declared ruler of the city, and called Mother (Mhysa) by her new people. Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth arrive back in King's Landing during the preparation for the marriage of Joffrey Baratheon and Margaery Tyrell, and news of Robb Stark's death reaches the Small Council. Stannis decides to sail North to save his country from the White Walkers, Yara Greyjoy sets sail to save her brother Theon from Ramsay Bolton, Bran makes it North of the Wall and an injured Jon Snow arrives back to Castle Black where his friend Samwell Tarly has also returned, accompanied by Gilly and her baby. Judging by the opening episodes of the previous seasons, Two Swords will move back and forth between all the different areas, checking in with the main players and setting up their stories. The Lion And The Rose is undoubtedly the most tantalising title here; book fans can be pretty certain of what it will feature, and are probably looking forward to it with bated breath. Breaker Of Chains will probably mostly focus on Daenerys and her trials with the city of Meereen, the next slaver-ridden town on her route. Oathkeeper could potentially be full of some very interesting character development. This article will be a series of educated guesses as to what these upcoming episodes will contain, comparing where character television story arcs are in relation to the books. Also, as indicated in the title of the article and throughout this introduction: Again, this article is going to be full of SPOILERS. It'll be absolutely chock-a-block, so please only read ahead if you have read A Song Of Ice And Fire, or if spoilers don't bother you!
