Homeland: 5 Directions We're Hoping Season 2 Will Go

3. Carrie and Brody Should Not Embark On A Romance

Okay maybe a little one just to get things started, but that's it. In a series like this, on and off romances will not work because (1) it's a little expected when the two protagonists are male and female and (2) because another fling would be out of character. That is of course excluding any case in which one sleeps with the other for...profit. In all honesty, does anyone really want to see this again? It worked wonders in the first season for character development, but there is nothing more to develop between the two for now. In subsequent seasons perhaps they can get together and take down Nazir or something, but the romance should remain tucked away for the entirety of the second season to avoid making things derivative of each other. We don't want to watch the same thing again.
