4. "Thank You" For Predictable/Pointless Plot Twists
Moffat, you recently seem keen on presenting us with plot twists, but the only problem with that is that you're no good at them. Every single one of your plot twists are either 100% predictable, or so random nobody could ever guess them. Let's review of these, shall we?
Who is in the astronaut suit? This was the question posed at the beginning of series 6, when we see the astronaut rise from the water and shoot the Doctor. But wait a moment... later on we see a picture of Amy Pond holding a young child... we later see the child in the astronaut suit. Okay, so clearly Amy and Rory's child kills the Doctor. Wait, doesn't River say she's in prison for killing "a good man"? Okay, that's just too obvious to be the answer. There's no way that River is actually Amy and Rory's daughter and that she kills the Doctor, right? TOO OBVIOUS! Oh wait, that's totally the answer. Well, maybe some of the other mysteries posed were harder.
Who is River Song? Uhh... that one goes hand in hand with the previous question.
Who's this girl named Mels? At the beginning of Let's Kill Hitler, we learn that Amy and Rory had a friend all their life named Mels, who behaves exactly like River Song. Huh. But she looks totally different, so maybe... Oh wait, we saw the Pond's kid regenerating earlier. So that must be River. Yup. It totally is.
The TARDIS scanner says Amy is pregnant, then not. Is she or isn't she? This one seemed pretty puzzling, until they land near a factory where they
make plastic flesh that are perfect duplicates. There goes that mystery.
What will happen to Amy and Rory? Alright, so you told us Amy and Rory were leaving in the episode "The Angels Take Manhattan". Near the end, we see them jumping off a roof together, sacrificing themselves to set things right. But then we see them waking up in a cemetery. Not only did they set things right, they survived! But wait, we were told for sure they were leaving. And here they are in a graveyard. Okay, so clearly an Angel will sneak up and zap one of them. Obviously. So let's just sit back and wait for.... Yup, there it went. Okay.
