The Inbetweeners: 10 Funniest Moments From The Show
6. Thorpe Park
In the series 1 episode 'Thorpe Park', the gang are thrilled by the prospect of having a friend with a car when Simon passes his driving test (but only because his instructor has a massive crush on him) and they all immediately set out to make the most of 'their' new ride by heading to Thorpe Park. This episode is full of laughs - and it's difficult to choose a specific one - as the group of embarrassing college students first interrupt a funeral cortege, before Jay accidentally rips Simon's new car's door off, meaning the group have to carry it around with them all day. Further disaster strikes when Will finally gets to the front of the queue of 'Nemesis Inferno', only to find that there is just one remaining seat at the front of the ride, meaning he and his friends can't sit together. Will deduces that someone in line pushed in, and demands that whomever they may be moves, calling them "inconsiderate a***holes" before sitting down next to them, only to realise they're Down syndrome sufferers from the "Happy Foundation". The ashamed gang finally get back to the car park, only to discover Simon's car has been trashed by the "Happy Foundation" in scenes of absolute comedy. Fun fact - this episode marks the first appearance of Simon's embarrassing yellow car, and explains why it came to have a red door.
