Working for Always Sunny seems like a dream come true, which is the case for those involved. But, there's only so much you can do before you start to burn out, and that came for Glenn Howerton as he decided he didn't want to keep going with the show in favour of other projects, like A.P. Bio.

At the time, "Dennis' Double Life" was set to be his swan song, and thus, he was rewarded a heartfelt moment to say goodbye. The episode followed as a "conquest" he met during "The Gang Beats Boggs" came to see him and revealed that he had a son with her.

He and the gang spend the episode trying to get rid of her and even fake Dennis' death to do so. But, in the end, she comes to and leaves of her own accord, leaving Dennis an open invitation to come and be the father to his son.

It seems like a victory for them all, but Dennis' mind changes, and he decides to leave, saying goodbye to the bar and turning the lights out with the classic phrase "the bar is done".

This one is retrospectively less sad, as Howerton was back the following season. But, the moment itself is still emotional, as it was a big deal for Dennis to decide to be a dad.
