It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Times Dennis Reynolds Embraced His Inner Sociopath

Season 3 saw Always Sunny really hit its stride. Frank had become an established member of the cast, and the show was beginning to really dig deep in to all the characters to see what makes them tick.

What keeps Dennis ticking? Methodically planning and calculating murder apparently. In an attempt to catch a serial killer, Dennis and Dee decide the best method to do so is by trying to get in to the mindset of the killer and decipher their next move. Dee throws all subtlety and tact to the wind and goes down the killer clown route, giant squeaking shoes and all.

Dennis however, appears much more deliberate in his approach. His persona is that of a house painter, who gains his victims' trust and easy access to their houses. It becomes clear that he has pondered such a scenario before, and even asks a hardware store employee (who is the actual serial killer) if a pair of garden shears would be able to cut through bone. It's clear that even in the early years, the groundwork for Dennis's psychotic tendencies was always there, lurking underneath the surface.
