Kong: King of the Apes (Season 1) - Friday, April 15. This is described as a fresh and modern take on the classic King Kong story. Marseille (Season 1) - Thursday, May 5. Netflix's first French-language series, Marseille will see the city's mayor of 25 years, Robert Taro (played by Gérard Depardieu, obviously) come face-to-face with his former protege in the next elections. Grace and Frankie (Season 2) - Friday, May 6. The second season of the Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin starring series, which focuses on two women whose husbands have left them for each other, leaving them to pick up the pieces of their lives. Word Party (Season 1) - Friday, June 3. A vocabulary building show for preschoolers from The Jim Henson Company, Word Party follows four adorable baby animals as they sing, dance and play.Word Party is produced using the groundbreaking Henson Digital Puppetry Studio, a proprietary technology from Jim Henson€™s Creature Shop that allows puppeteers to perform digitally animated characters in real time. Orange is the New Black (Season 4) - Friday, June 17. Once again, June will be the time to return to Litchfield. Season 3 left things in an interesting place, with a cliffhanger for Alex, Ruby Rose's Stella back in prison, and an influx of new inmates, so it'll interesting to see just where this show takes things in its fourth outing. Stranger Things (Season 1) - Premieres globally Friday, July 15. Written and directed by Matt and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines), Stranger Things consists of eight, one-hour long episodes. In the series, a young boy vanishes into thin air. As friends, family, and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one very strange little girl. Winona Ryder and David Harbour lead the cast. The Get Down (Part-One) - Friday, August 12 The first six episodes of Baz Luhrmann€™s (he'll direct the first episode, and executive produce the rest) all-new music-driven drama, will focus on 1970s New York City - broken down and beaten up, violent, cash strapped - dying. From Bronx tenements, to the SoHo art scene; from CBGBs to Studio 54 and even the glass towers of the just-built World Trade Centre, The Get Down is a mythic saga of how New York at the brink of bankruptcy gave birth to hip-hop, punk and disco.
