Legion: 9 Ways It's A Totally Unique Comic Book TV Show

2. It's Not Afraid To Get VERY Weird

Even just based on the early stages of the first season, Legion has already established itself as one of the weirdest live-action shows on TV, comic book inspired or otherwise.

Hawley has shown a mastery of this sort of territory on Fargo, and he gets free reign here, from the trippiness of the visuals to the reality-questioning narrative, the unconventional love story to the characters and their names (at one point we sit and watch the drool coming from a patient's mouth; there are characters called Kerry and Cary Loudermilk - pronounced the same way, but seemingly unrelated).

The show is unconventional, bizarre, and yet makes its weird elements all work together in beautiful fashion.
