Loki: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

So far, the Disney+ corner of the MCU has hit three home runs out of three. WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki have all been incredible additions to the franchise, but the villains have been a bit more hit and miss. Agatha Harkness was a compelling, powerful, antagonist, while Karli Morgenthau left a lot to be desired. As one of the main antagonists for Loki, Judge Renslayer fell somewhere in the middle of these two spectrum extremes.

Initially, she was a villain almost by default as part of the TVA. She was the judge that would have seen Loki pruned had it not been for Mobius, but as the series went on, Renslayer became less compelling as a villain.

The greatest antagonists in the MCU all have a strong reasoning for what they are doing. In their own minds they are the heroes, and the audience can at least see and sympathise with their point. Even after the reveal of the fake Time Keepers however, Renslayer stayed loyal to the organization despite overwhelming evidence that it was the wrong thing to do.

How can anyone watching the show sympathise and connect with a villain when she doesn’t even know why she is doing what she is doing herself?
