MacGyver Season 3 Premiere: 8 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Improvise'

2. That Cliffhanger

MacGyver Murdoc
CBS

Just when you thought MacGyver couldn't get any better, Lenkov and O'Neill knock it out of the park with an unpredictable twist at the end. Murdoc is without a doubt one of the best antagonists on television, and actor David Dastmalchian is superb in this role. While the show is generally family viewing, there is an unsettling feeling when Murdoc is on our screens. Dastmalchian is so good, that it makes viewers uncomfortable.

Save for a little caveat (more on that later), this cliffhanger was extraordinary, and in a mere 40 minutes, the showrunners have managed to make us fall in love with the show all over again. MacGyver is really the only series where one can never have too many panic-inducing moments in a single episode.
