Luke Cage's ex-wife in the show is another figure brought in from the comics, though she has a different and more complex role here. In the comics Connors was Luke's girlfriend in the run-up to his empowerment origin story who later died when she is caught up in an evil plan involving Luke Cage villain Diamondback (a good possibility for his stand-alone show). Her death in the show is different, as Kilgrave uses Jessica to kill her after taking a key flashdrive from her. There's still a chance she will reappear in Cage's own show, as it could jump backwards in the timeline to explore his origin (though whether that would be the right approach is a coin toss).
