My Hero Academia: Every Member Of Class 1-A Ranked Worst To Best
6. Eijiro Kirishima (Red Riot)
Quirk: Hardening
Kirishima is a pure example of how the right kind of writing and characterisation can turn anyone into a hero. You wouldn't be wrong in not thinking much of Kirishima when you first met him, as his bland power and seemingly lacking personality got him off to a slow start, but, he became more than meets the eye.
The hero known as Red Riot's quirk is perfectly decent, but nothing to write home about. His hardening skill is excellent for defence and allows for good offence, but isn't flashy at all. However, the more he grew and developed, the more powerful and impressive he became. This was especially noticeable in the Shie Hassaikai Arc, where he came into his own as a hero and certainly bumped up a tier.
Besides his hero persona, Kirishima is also incredibly amusing, warm and dedicated. He essentially takes the best qualities of Bakugo (more on him soon) and takes away the toxicity.
He's deserves his reputation as a fan-favourite!
