Netflix Witcher Trailer: 10 Details You Totally Missed

5. There's A LOT OF The Witcher Games In Here Too

Besides Geralt's armoured look being a dead ringer for the third game in the series, Henry Cavill is also channeling Doug Cockle's voice performance, essentially continuing the version millions know and love.

Even better is The Butcher of Blaviken's fighting style, as although we've had a Witcher TV show before (the disastrous 2001 abomination, The Hexer), the production budget and general level of care and attention wasn't there.

Now, taking many cues from sword master Alan PadziƄski - who was brought on for The Witcher 3 to choreograph all of Geralt's various pirouettes and spins with perfect motion capture - Cavill's moves in the show are immediately reminiscent.

Needless to say, for as much as the showrunners have mentioned not taking anything from the games, there's plenty to love if that's your main reference point.
