Only Fools And Horses: Ranking All The Main Characters From Worst To Best

11. Mickey Pearce

Only Fools and Horses
BBC

Despicable Mickey Pearce, a man who had allegedly robbed his own grandmother (although that was never proved), has been featured in many episodes since his debut in Series 3’s ‘Healthy Competition.’

Appearing as a frenemy of Rodney, Pearce is usually attempting a money-making scheme similar to Del’s exploits but will stoop lower than the loveable Trotter. One example comes in the episode, ‘Little Problems,’ where it is revealed Mickey and his new business partner, Jevon, had botched a deal with the dreaded Driscoll Brothers and named Del as an accomplice.

In 1986, Mickey Pearce narrowly missed out on an opportunity to become the show’s new Del Boy character after David Jason had planned on leaving the show after Series 5. The new show would have focused on Rodney and Mickey going it alone, and was prospectively titled ‘Hot Rod.’ Looking back at the legacy of Only Fool and Horses, thank God David Jason remained and the spinoff never happened.
