Orange Is The New Black: 10 Best Moments From Season 3

6. Stella Arrives

Of the new additions to the cast for season 3, it was the impending arrival of Australian model Ruby Rose that garnered the most hype. She doesn€™t appear straightaway though; her character, Stella Carlin, ends up in Litchfield in episode 6, and it was definitely worth the wait. She works with Piper in the prison€™s new Whispers factory, and the pair have an immediate chemistry and clear attraction, signalling trouble ahead of Piper and Alex€™s relationship. For someone in prison she€™s a rather free spirit, and brings out a different side to Piper. It isn€™t entirely a pleasant one, but rather than going full-on love triangle for the remainder of the series it serves to drive a wedge between Alex and Piper, and gets the latter to do more away from the former. Their relationship this season felt like it was going over old ground, so having Stella arrive worked well to change things up, and she proved a compelling character in her own right, and one we€™ll hopefully learn more about now it seems she€™ll be sticking around Litchfield a while longer.
