Parks & Recreation: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

6. Ann Perkins

Parks Recreation April Ludgate
NBC

She is a beautiful, tropical fish, a cunning, pliable, chestnut-haired sunfish, a rainbow infused space unicorn, and so much more. Seeing the different ways Leslie was able to profess her love for her best friend was easily one of the funniest aspects of the entire show, from start to finish.

Despite being one of the few main characters to not work for the Parks Department when the series began, Ann soon became one of the gang thanks in no small part to the pit and her blossoming friendship with Leslie.

She was the reason the whole thing started, as she asked for Leslie to do something about the eyesore mere feet from her back yard, but little did either of them know just how much their lives would change after that meeting.

As harsh as it may be on Andy, Ann was allowed to grow more as a character once she broke up with the boyfriend she had lived with for three years. After then dating Mark, Chris, and exploring single life a bit more, she was finally able to start a family and be a mother like she always wanted. It was a shame that she left Pawnee before the series finished, and the seventh season certainly suffered for it.
