Preacher Season 3: 4 Ups & 0 Downs From 'Schwanzkopf'
1. Jesse Has His Soul (And Genesis) Back
It's been a long time coming (there's been plenty of plot contrivances, as well as pauses in the narrative to prevent us from getting here earlier), but Jesse Custer finally did it. He has Genesis back, which means he can get himself out of whatever pickle he's in — namely his agreement with Marie L'Angelle.
After blowing up the All Father, he gets himself reacquainted with soul, which is great and all, but he's more interested in the fact that he can finally use Genesis again. He wastes no time in testing out his ability, ordering Herr Starr to his knees. The leader of The Grail obeys the holy command. Feeling whole again, Jesse heads straight to New Orleans, which sets the stage for next week's finale, as Jesse will use his God-given ability on his awful grandmother. But with Marie L'Angelle knowing full well that Jesse intends to kill her, it's likely that the old battle-axe has something up her sleeve.
A great episode has truly set up what promises to be a sensational finale.
