Ranking Every Superhero From The Boys From Worst To… Even Worse

8. Translucent

The Boys Homelander
Amazon Studios

When Translucent was killed by Hughie, we had learned very little about him. After just two episodes we knew that he could turn invisible, he enjoyed spying on Maeve and Starlight in the Seven toilets, and he was prepared to go to great lengths to protect the Seven.

When he learned that Hughie had tried to bug Seven Tower, he had no problem trying to kill both him and Billy. The irony of claiming to be the champion of the innocent just seconds before trying to kill the man who loves Billy Joel is not lost on anyone.

The supe was all talk when he thought he was invincible, but when he realised that he had been compromised by the Boys, he quickly sold his Seven teammates out. Every ounce of loyalty left him in favour of saving his own carbon skin.

However, the worst thing Starlight could think to say about the character was that he struggled with boundaries, and that he spent most of his time with his son. While this may go some way to redeeming Translucent, if he had been in the Seven for a long time and had earned Homelander's respect, he couldn't have been the most virtuous man in the world.
