Ranking The Marvel Netflix Shows From Worst To Best

5. The Defenders

Jessica Jones
Netflix/Empire

What should have been television's Avengers turned out to be a mediocre team up of the Netflix Marvel heroes that underwhelmed and disappointed in almost every sense. In a short season of only eight episodes, the Defenders don't even team up until three episodes in. The show should have capitalised on the already existing relationships and worked at a quicker pace to get the four of them together.

Chemistry wise, there's nothing bad here, the four of them gel well and it is at least somewhat satisfying to see the group unite. That being said, The Hand were starting to feel incredibly overused and tired by this point and the poor pacing meant the whole season fell apart.

More so than any other show on this list, The Defenders suffered due to its overhyped anticipation. But, even with the high expectations, the show just doesn't work on several fundamental levels and ends up being the most forgettable show in the collection.

Feeling slow and uninspired with little payoff or enjoyment to be had, The Defenders severely disappointed.
