Riverdale Season 3: 2 Ups & 4 Downs From 'Prom Night'
3. The Underdevelopment Of Fangs Continues
When Archie Andrews discovered that he needed an opponent to fight for his exhibition match, he nonchalantly told viewers that Fangs would be happy to do it. Sorry, when did Fangs become a boxer? Oh yeah, that's right we found that out last week because he went on a jog with the boxing club and silently paid tribute to their fallen brother Baby Teeth (who he'd never even met).
Again, the writers are throwing Fangs into every scenario because he's a convenient, familiar and attractive face that can do whatever they need him to. But the problem here is that they're doing it without actually giving him the development he deserves.
The same could be said about his apparent relationship with Kevin, which we hadn't heard anything about in weeks until now, when they went to the prom together, got a photo and didn't actually say anything to each other. Now, considering Casey Cott (who plays Kevin) is a series regular, this is shocking.
But hey, we should all be grateful that Fangs actually got to speak this week, right?
