1. Finally Some Answers

Riverdale prides itself on keeping viewers guessing throughout its run and, more often than not, attempts to pull the wool over their eyes to maintain its shock value. As a result, the Gargoyle King saga fed us multiple red herrings while the writers recycled the same plot threads in order to confuse us about what was actually going on at The Farm. This week, however, we finally got some answers.

Betty's investigation into The Farm finally produced results as she discovered that Edgar was manipulating the 'Farmies' into thinking they were seeing their loved ones when, in fact, they were being hypnotized. She would then investigate further, finding out that Edgar was harvesting human organs by performing surgery on his brainwashed victims.

On the other side of things, Ethel finally revealed the Gargoyle King's true identity to Jughead, claiming that the demon was actually Jason Blossom in disguise. While that reveal was highly problematic (more on that later), it's admittedly nice to finally see the plot moving forward.

Now, for the negatives...
