Riverdale Season 3: 4 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Big Fun'
2. Kevin And Fangs
Fangs Fogarty's sexuality has been the subject of extensive debate among the Riverdale fandom. When the Serpent first showed up, he was rather flirtatious towards Kevin, something that the latter eventually addressed when he went to see Love, Simon, stating that he couldn't date someone named "Fangs".
It was then completely dropped altogether when Fangs ended up in a secret relationship with Mitch Klump - the star of the last musical that Kevin directed and the girlfriend of Kevin's secret on-again/off-again boyfriend Moose. Though a complicated love quadrangle that sounds like YA gold, Kevin and Fangs remained outsiders and never really interacted, at all. However, it appears that the impact of Mitch's death is still resonating with both of them.
After they were the only two to speak up in the Farm-like meeting before rehearsals, they discussed how they still can't get Mitch's death out of their head. Flash forward twenty minutes and they're both seen passionately singing to one another in the midst of a creepy Farm ceremony, dressed in white, holding hands and, yes, they actually kissed. While this was quite fast-tracked (even for Riverdale), it was undeniably fulfilling to see them finally get together, and it gave viewers hope that we may see something real grow out of it.
Kevin and Fangs being forced together by an unusual cult-like ritual? Absolutely not. But Kevin and Fangs bonding over their shared grief? Now that sounds like one of the most sensible things to ever come out of the completely senseless world that is Riverdale.
