Sex Education: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best
6. Aimee Gibbs
This loveable character is another that begins life in what seems like an insignificant role. However, she quickly becomes one of the most likeable parts of the series and eventually was given a season two narrative that utterly stole the show.
Amy Gibbs is a loveably naïve person. She isn't presented to be stupid, more that she simply lives in her own world and pays little attention to this one. This is great as everyone has had a friend who is like this, instantly making her identifiable but believable in the line-up.
Her connection to the other characters in the first season is powerful, and eventually, her narrative of learning about prioritising her pleasure over others is engaging, but season two is where her story truly shines.
The uncomfortable bus assault scene and subsequent character development are some of the best and most truthful depictions of the challenging subject matter ever put to screen. It's no surprise that a show as progressive as this makes such a respectful response to the problem.
The whole subject matter relies on Aimee, and the character works it wonderfully, as her absent mind changes and becomes grounded because of the issue.
She only ranks a little lower due to the tough competition of the additional roles.
