Sex Education Season 2 Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

1. The Delightfully Cringe-Worthy Humour

Sex Education Season 2
Netflix

For all of its serious-minded discussions about sexuality, the show is still a comedy at its core, and one which relishes in the art of cringe-worthy humour aiming to leave audiences squirming.

Season two begins as it means to go on with an opening masturbation scene that really has to be seen to be believed - it ignited social media within minutes of the season's release, setting the outrageously embarrassing standard for all episodes to follow.

Even more so than in season one, the show loves to revel in the awkwardness of its oft-inexperienced young characters, especially Otis, and the result is an uproarious comedy you might occasionally need to watch through splayed fingers (depending on your own cringe reflex, that is).
