1. The Deeply Frustrating Ending

No spoilers here, but season two's ending is sure to leave many fans groaning in frustration if not throwing their hands up in despair.

Unsurprisingly, the season ends on something of a cliffhanger, following a provocative moment which simply feels intended to distend one of the series' major subplots for another batch of episodes.

Yet with no guarantee yet that a third season is even coming, it feels a little over-confident, to say nothing of a needlessly soap opera-y bombshell dropped mid-way through the last episode which could leave one character in a rut next season.

Though the main cliffhanger works well enough in terms of ensuring that fans will need to see how it plays out, it doesn't really feel dramatically earned and comes off merely as a transparent attempt to extend the show's shelf life.

But with those gripes accepted, here's everything that Sex Education's second season got right...
