Sex Education Season 3: 12 Questions That Must Be Answered
2. Will Maeve And Isaac Start Dating?
Sex Education brought some disabled representation with Isaac (who is played by a real disabled actor). New to the neighbourhood, he befriends Maeve and starts falling for her fast.
They pair have good chemistry despite Maeve often not giving Isaac the attention he longs for. He starts off as a really nice guy who looks out for Maeve and lets her know that her mum isn’t going to work like she says.
At the end, Otis finally comes to his senses and sends Maeve a lovely voicemail apologising for his obnoxious drunken behaviour. But Isaac deletes it. This really flips how we view his character and it makes us question what his intentions are, though they probably don’t stretch as far as a teenage boy with a crush.
Season 2’s ending mimics season 1’s: Otis got with Ola because he thought Maeve wasn’t interested, and now Maeve might get with Isaac before she thinks Otis isn’t interested (and is a dick).
If they do get together, it probably won’t last – much like Otis and Ola’s relationship didn’t. Maeve will likely uncover the truth about Isaac deleting Otis’ message too. But it will be good to watch Isaac and Maeve have a relationship for a bit.
