For the majority of the Infinity Saga, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was very much dominated by male superheroes. It wasn’t until 2019 that Captain Marvel became the first female lead in the franchise, but thankfully since then things have only gotten better.

In Phase Four alone, there have been some incredible new female characters introduced. Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop, and Kamala Khan have all made a huge impact on the franchise in a short space of time, and it seems that you can already add Jennifer Walters to that list.

With a character like Jen, who has been so versatile in the source material and brings with her so much potential, there will always be big expectations. Based on just the first episode, there should be absolutely no worries about either Jen or Tatiana Maslany. Together they are charming, funny, and sarcastic in the same lovable way as the likes of Yelena, Kate, and Kamala, and you can see immediately that she is just dripping with franchise-leading potential.

Whether she joins the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the A-Force, or stays solo for a while, the MCU future is very bright for Jennifer Walters.
