3. The Wedding

Moving on from The Empty Hearse - there's something very important going on in episode two, The Sign of Three. If the title and picture haven't tipped you off, it's TV's biggest wedding since River Song and the Doctor - John Watson and Mary Morstan's wedding (Mary, incidentally, is played by Amanda Abbington, Martin Freeman's real-life partner).

The wedding is sure to shake things up in the Sherlock universe, with Sherlock not looking too happy in the images released from the episode - we know that John's moved out of 221B come the start of the series, but how will Watson cope with married life plus er... Sherlock life? As the episode synopsis revealed, there's also the small problem of a killer at the reception.

But the biggest problem isn't the killer - it's how the small problem of Sherlock having to write a best man's speech will go...
